The Custom Half-White IR Carbon Fiber Heating Lamp: Built for the Engineers Who Know What They Need

We built this heating lamp for the engineers who live in the details—the ones who need heat delivered exactly where they want it, in spaces that don’t have room for error. If your industrial setup demands fast response and control you can trust, this is the lamp that shows up and gets the job done. It’s the kind of workhorse you install and forget about, because it just keeps running, shift after shift.
Power, Voltage, and Size—Tailored to Your Machine
We don’t do one-size-fits-all. We size these lamps to fit the reality of your equipment. You can order the tube length to match your heater block—usually around 300 mm—so it fits without taking up extra space. Power is tuned to hit the heat density you actually need, often around 2500 W. We run these at 400 V because it keeps the current lower and the wiring simpler. Less hassle, and fewer losses in the supply and connections. The payoff is speed. The filament hits target temperature fast, so your cycle times don’t get eaten by warm-up. But here’s the honest part: high power density means heat is serious. The surrounding fixtures and reflectors need to be ready for it. And your machine’s cooling has to be properly set up—otherwise you risk cooking nearby components.
What It’s Made Of—And Why It Matters
We wrap the carbon filament in a halogen-filled quartz envelope. That protects the filament and keeps output steady over time. The half-white coating shifts the spectrum toward visible and near-IR, which helps many plastics and coatings absorb the heat better than they would with bare quartz. And the carbon filament itself is tough. It handles thermal shock well, so it can take repeated on/off cycles without cracking. For connections, R7s end caps are the standard because they lock in place and carry the load without extra hardware. If your line needs something different, we can spec Sk15 or other connectors to match your fixture.
Where This Lamp Shines—And What It Feels Like to Use It
This lamp is for industrial heating where space is tight and the heat has to be focused. Think PET blowing, thermoforming, drying lines—any place where you need rapid response and repeatable results. It starts fast, so short dwell windows don’t become a headache. And it delivers output you can count on, day after day. Because we build it to your length and voltage, you can swap it into existing machines without redesigning the housing. Just plan for heat management, and you get performance you can rely on—consistent, steady, and ready to work.
