If you’ve ever dealt with heaters that scorch the surface of your material while the inside stays ice-cold, you know how frustrating that is. We built this far infrared (FIR) unit specifically to fix that. Basically, it pushes heat deep into the material instead of just searing the top layer.

The power behind it

We’re looking at 2600W packed into a 640mm tube. That’s a lot of heat in a small space. The result? It heats up fast. Really fast. We went with carbon fiber for the heating element because it’s tough. Metal alloys tend to warp or snap when they go from freezing to boiling over and over again. Carbon fiber just handles it. Just a heads-up: make sure your power supply can actually handle a 2600W draw, or you’ll be tripping breakers all day.

Why carbon fiber actually matters

Most quartz heaters use short-wave radiation. That’s fine for some things, but it often creates a “skin effect”—where the outside burns and the core stays cold. Getting it set up (and a few warnings)

This is a pretty easy drop-in replacement for most large drying or curing ovens since the 640mm size is a standard. But here is the thing: 2600W is no joke. The ends of the tube get hot enough to melt cheap wiring. Please, do yourself a favor and use high-temperature leads and solid mounts. And check your fans. If the air isn’t moving around the housing, the heat builds up and fries your electrical connectors. Keep the airflow clear, and the thing will last. If you don’t? You’re looking at a premature burnout.
