
What’s really going on under the hood
We built this carbon heater lamp to be one thing: a compact infrared powerhouse. It’s centered around a 300mm quartz tube that holds a carbon filament, running at 400V and up to 2500W. That combo packs serious heat density into a small space. The length isn’t arbitrary, either. At 300mm, it focuses the thermal load into a tight zone, so you can aim the heat exactly where your process needs it. No fuss. Just targeted intensity.
The choices that make it tough in the real world
The quartz envelope is there for a reason. It handles the shock of switching on and off quickly, and it lets shortwave infrared pass through cleanly. Inside, a halogen gas fill protects the filament, helping the lamp last longer and keeping output steady. On the practical side, we went with an R7s connector. It locks in securely at high temps, and it makes wiring and replacement on the line straightforward. This is a design that’s meant to hold up when the day gets loud and the shifts are long.
Where it shines—and what to watch for
Slip this into high-temperature spots in PET blowing, thermoforming, or shrink tunnels and it just goes to work. The shortwave output hits surfaces fast, so warm-up time drops and cycle rates pick up. But here’s the honest part: cramming 2500W into 300mm means your machine’s cooling and thermal management have to be up to the task. Make sure airflow and shielding are sorted to keep nearby parts from running too hot. Plan it, set it, and it runs with confidence.
